About K-TV
K-TV was founded in 1999 by Swiss priest Hans Buschor. He himself repeatedly emphasized that it was not he, but actually Padre Pio who founded the station. For it was only through an extraordinary permission granted by the saint that Father Buschor was able to record a Holy Mass with him in 1968. As it later turned out, it was the saint’s last Mass. He died the following night. The proceeds from the movie “Padre Pio – Father of Millions,” which was made from this, enabled the founding of K-TV.
Since 2011, the station has been operated by the non-profit Kephas Foundation gGmbH, which now employs around 40 people. A committee of three priests is responsible for the content and ensuring the broadcast content.
K-TV is ad-free and does not receive any church or state funding, but finances its broadcasting operations from viewer donations.
